Mri Report

At least I have an understanding now,
Of what's causing all my pain,
It doesn't really help yet,
It's still driving me insane.
I'm having trouble sleeping,
My pills make me feel sick,
My head's filled with cotton balls,
It really feels quite thick.
I have extra bone growing,
On the vertebrae in my neck,
C five, six, seven and eight,
Oh my, what the heck?
I also have a degenerative disc,
At C three and four,
Yes, I know I'm waffling,
And my issues are a bore.
But, if I have to suffer,
I want you by my side,
So, don't go running away,
There's no where you can hide.
I have an indentation in my shoulder joint,
From a suspected dislocation,
It crunches and cracks on movement,
The pain is beyond explanation.
My knee swells regularly,
It also turns bright red,
It's caused by fluid building up,
Due to a miniscule tear, they've said.
If I was a racehorse,
The knackers yard would be for me,
Oh, I can't cope with this,
I'm going for a cup of tea.

Thank you Teddy for your kind words. I was just relieved to finally have answers. I find the best way to express my thoughts, whether they be joyous or not is to write. Now on to the next waiting game..... :-)

I won't bore you with my issues, Kay, but I can certainly relate, and you are a courageous and powerful survivor, though it may feel otherwise at times. I am so sorry for your suffering, but I believe you are the stronger for it, and I pray you have many blessings on the way, and a joyous, pain-free life - I have SEEN miracles, especially where faith and courage prevail, and I can tell you have BOTH! Thank you for sharing your struggle and know you have touched my heart. Congrats on your win! :-)

Thank you Greg, for your kind words. I do hope you're not suffering too much and I wish you the very best of health and happiness. Stay strong and positive as much as you can and remember to try and smile or laugh, every day. :-)

Oh Kay I am so sorry you are suffering such pain and i can relate as i also suffer with my back neck and shoulder. You brought humour into your poem and that is the way I cope with many issues that have come my way since I started writing. I hope you can get some pain relief medication and enjoy that cuppa i have just made mine!:-0 hugs jan xx

Hi Jan, thank you for your kind words. I'm sorry to hear you also suffer and I agree that a sense of humour goes a long way when you're in pain. It's my saving grace. I'm already taking Gabapentin and Tramadol, but they make me feel rather poorly. Thanks again and Take Care. Hugs :-) xx
