Mr Deeds

I took another look in the mirror, I just had to see,
the person standing there, couldn’t be me.
As I beheld his weathered face,
I began to speak to him in grace.
The thing’s he said to me, I cannot share,
there are things you’re hearts couldn’t bare.
The second time I chose to look,
was the eyes, they read like a book.
If we just look at our images you see,
we forget what manner of person we be.
For when you see what people see, yet they do not know,
the looking in our eyes, becomes the mirror of our soul.
Yet our actions speak louder than our words you see,
for in our deeds, is that inner man, of you and me.
though we try to hide him, he has his subtle way,
he slips out into the open, every single day.
