Moving On
We have an agreement myself and I,
Today is the day I'm not going to cry,
A good day ahead is all I can hope,
I promise myself I won't sit round and mope.
We have an agreement myself and I,
I will busy myself just to make the time fly.
I'll wash and I'll iron The dustings done too,
I'll busy myself the whole day through.
We have an agreement myself and I,
I'm stronger than this, I can smile if I try.
I'll walk through the town, act like all is quite well,
I'm crippled inside though I hope they can't tell.
We have an agreement myself and I,
The sun shines above from a cotton ball sky.
I'v been given the courage, I need to move on,
Today is the day I stop playing his song.
