Moving On
Moving on.
It doesn't mean you have to change who you've become;
Just the lens through which you see
The person you could be
And rise above.
Moving on.
It doesn't mean you have to leave it all behind;
Just the version of the past
That you have cast
Within your mind.
Moving on.
It doesn't mean you will forget what's comes before;
But that first you must forgive
So you can finally live
And become more.
Moving on.
It doesn't mean you're giving up or giving in;
But that you're laying down your guns
Because you've already won
The war within.
