When I was in the Navy, a sign was posted, "Put a helmet on before riding your motorcycle. It won't save your life, but you will look prettier for the funeral."

Thank you, Line! My Assistant, when I was the after school director was married to a man she did not want to buy a motorcycle. He nearly killed himself. Just awful!

My motor cycling days are behind me but love cycling and yes always wear a helmet it amazes me that many don't. Tom

It seems to be the in thing doing wheelies towards oncoming traffic Kim, some with just a balaclava on to prevent them being identified, the irony being they will be more difficult to identify at their funeral, just like your navy sign says in a nice but hard hitting way, excellent advice, cheers David

Crazy! I had my grandsons in my car. This was not a road where you can pull over and thus he would have been in extra danger if he flipped off. Could not have readily helped him.

Hello Kim, yes you are right. No helmet no motorcycle ride. Helmets are the most important gear top wear on a motorcycle ride. It protects the head from injury. Hugs. /Darlene/

Hello Kim, some people on motorcycles should wear long sleeves, a ,. helmet, jeans., sunglasses, gloves. I have seen som people wear shorts Short sleeves tops. Not a good idea. because it will be a sunburn and wind burn. Hugs. /Darlene/
