Mother's Day Request
Mother’s Day Request
Will you please come home to visit me?
I’m getting quite old it’s plain to see.
Your Mom is lonely, sad, and blue,
This Mother’s Day can’t be good without you
The table is set with my best china,
It’s time for you to come home to Carolina.
There is one empty chair on my right,
Make my dream come true, say you’ll be here tonight.
My heart always breaks when you’re away,
I hope this will give you reason to come and stay.
But, if you can only come for this Mother’s Day,
Then I will know God heard me pray.
Please don’t tell me you can’t be here,
It will break my heart and cause a little tear.
Even if for some reason you can’t make it home,
I’ll continue to send my love where ever you may roam.
