Mothers day poem not sent

I could buy you a present And it could go one way or the other But, I know a bouquet of flowers Will make you a happy Mother I was going to send this to my Mom But for some reason it didn't sound "Quiet right" .....and due to the restrictive number of characters on the card I settled for this ... Violets are blue And roses are red So, I'm sending you Colorful Tulips instead. Ha!

I would have rather had your poem than flowers any day. Flowers die, but words last a lifetime. Keep writing them, my friend. You are an amazing writer.

Thank you Becca, but I'm sure you could come up with something more elegant. It's great to hear from you my friend.

Hell Jerry, I loved the internal struggle between the easy, expected gesture (flowers) and the unspoken truth is powerful. "Quiet right" perfectly captures that yearning for a deeper expression. The card's limitations made smile and leave me wanting to know more. Very Well Done! - Blessings, Daniel
