Mother Nature's Whispers
As I stand here listening
To the whispers of the breeze
As it rustles through
The lush green leaves of the trees
If you listen very closely
You can hear Mother Nature speak
In the harmonies of the water flowing
Along a small mountain creek
Sometimes you can hear it
In the melody of a bluebirds song
Or feel it within the suns rays
Shining it’s warmth all summer long
You can hear it in the call of a loon
Or the cry of a whippoorwill
These whispers can be heard
When you are reverent, quiet and still
Mother Nature whispers to us
In so many different ways
Through the chirping crickets at night
The buzzing bees during the days
She has so much to tell us
Just stand quietly and you may hear
All the things Mother Nature has to say
All whispered within your ear.
