Mother Nature's Pain
Mother Nature embraces me in her arms
Natural beauty and natural harms
I could feel her love when she blows me a kiss
But I sensed a pain in this natural bliss
I’ve felt her tears while I heard her heart break
I’ve seen her rage in the deepest earthquakes
A burning fire deep in her core
A single touch and we are no more
I’ve once felt her fire penetrating my skin
And the cold hard ground that she buries us in
I feel her pain and mine is the same
She is unappreciated and that is a shame
So I showed her that I love her
After all, she is my mother
And now she’s smiling once again
Drying off her tears of pain
Gently blowing her sweet kisses
That my heart so dearly misses
