MOTHER NATURE'S LAMENT

My dear children please ponder this, For something has gone far amiss. I bore you and I nurtured you And this I was so proud to do. And then all through your infant days I taught you what were proper ways. You played in pleasant pastures green, And in the woods and in the stream. You always loved to watch the bee, Feeding upon the nectar free. You were as one with all nature; Your spirit being a real treasure. But you have grown and you have changed, From nature you’ve become estranged. From proper ways you drift away. Your morals now are in decay. And your thinking has turned corrupt Leaving your spirit now bankrupt. You turn against your natural roots, And simply do not care two hoots. You crave vulgar symbols of wealth For you have now lost your real self. Your shallow values surely show. Your higher-self has become low And your subconscious shouts out loud, “Admire me for I am proud.” The greed bug is ruling your mind And to your real soul you are blind. You exploit every earth resource, Taking what you want by brute force. My children, you bring me much stress. My spirit you surely depress. At first my hopes for you were high But now you bring tears to my eye. From precious place we call the earth You plundered everything of worth In the belief that this planet Is here to fill your own pocket. My dear children please ponder this, For something has gone far amiss.

Hello Mystic Rose. Many thanks for your comment. Tried to access soup mail but no success. I struggle with the technology. Best wishes.
