Mother Nature Mother Board

One sister is wise And infinitely older The other is recent And still learning At one time she Was admired and respected But now the golden child Takes all the love for herself With waterfalls she Creates a rainbow The other uses pixels In which we can view anytime we like One kills thousands with wind and rain To gain attention While the other Simply shuts down One was original Appearing at the very first The other was a jealous girl A half baked idea The hippies will eat all organic apples on their way to the Apple store. At the same time we poets type on our keyboards, "And oh how the seagulls soared." We can't pick our family. We love them both.

"a half baked idea" Couldnt have wrote it better myself, Timothy. This is a very unique, interesting poem.. I love it! I love this duality of the originator (mother nature) to the imitator..(mother board), and how you connect it with the family. They coexist together despite their differences - one came from the other. The other may strive hard to be original, but it will always have a touch of its originator. Just a few of my thoughts while reading lol. Nice one. Always, Laura

Every root needs soil, every source has a union, every difference has a design spurred by similarities. Struggle is beautiful...J.A.B.

You always intrigue with your unique perspective. If struggle is beautiful then perhaps that makes comfort a bit on the ugly side, no? I suppose lumps of coal can only turn into diamonds after years of pressure :)

Timothy, your last two lines say it all; we can't pick and choose. The only solution is to learn to live with all, and to do that there must be understanding, patience, acceptance and love. Of course, in order for this to work there has to be good will from all sides. // paul
