Mother Nature

The EARTH was birthed, born of a MOTHER
An AUNT, a sister, a woman, ANOTHER
To be HUMAN, an HONOUR and purpose herein
Protecting this EARTH as we live on HER skin.

Much comes to THREATEN this Eden our home
It’s on loan, leant freely, and NOT ours to own.
Protection is vital, it’s give and it’s take
THE gift of our lifeblood we must NOT forsake.

OUR environs are sacred, EARTH, sea and air
The fire in our bellies and wind in our hair.
As we MATURE by each minute and HOUR
we THREATEN more creatures with unholy power.

Be not a MOURNER of EARTH, be a fighter
Respect HER, Admire HER THE noose pulling tighter
NATURE is calling us, asking our love
From the EARTH ‘NEATH OUR feet to the clouds up above.
