Mother Nature

Spring is a lovely season
After winter's cold and snow
Looking forward to this time of year
It sets our hearts aglow

Everything starts growing again.
All is fresh and new.
Birth of cattle, horses, lambs
With legs that look askew

When they attempt to stand up
As soon as they arrive
Their mothers look on relieved
Pleased that they survived

Tulips and daffodils
Flowering bushes, shrubs and trees
An abundance of new life and colour
What a sight to please

The eye of the beholder
Of all that looks so lush
As Mother Nature carries on
With her big paintbrush

Your poem transports me to beautiful, fresh, springtime landscapes, Shirley-an extremely welcome excursion at this time of year! Blessings.

Ah, you've created a tempting scene, Shirley... Now if you'd just flip a couple of pages on that calendar...

It is approaching the end of summer here in South Australia; we have had a very temperamental summer, some days hot, some days cold. Is Nature angry and trying to tell us something? Take care, Gershon

Everything is new in Spring. God created such a beautiful garden and saw that all was perfect.
