Mother

It's hard to watch your family fall apart,
It's like the blood stops pumping from your heart.
Everyone expects you to go insane,
'Cause they doubt that you can cope with such pain.
You are struggling to keep your mind together,
But nothing is impossible to you 'cause you're a mother.
You know that your children believe in you,
They look only to you to help them through,
So if you fail they fail too.

And you almost break down you almost give in,
But for your children you fight back you fight to win.

I am stopping back today to see if you have continued to write and post new poetry Sandile. I hope that you will continue with your writing. You have taken the first step~ ~to write and share. When you feel the need for inspiration read some of the other poetry here at PoetrySoup. It will help you and I will stop by again to read your poems. Love, Carol
