Mother

To let you know how much we love you
And how much we really care,
That you were around
And that you were always there.

Even though we had very little
You would make it seem like so much,
You would make the bad things go away
With just a single touch.

You raised five kids alone
Without any help,
You did what you had to do
Even though you were by yourself.

We couldn't always get what we wanted
But we was never ungrateful,
We knew you didn't have much
So for that we were very thankful.

At times you wasn't understanding
At times a little hard,
I know you was just trying to protect us
So you never let down your guard.

Now we are all grown up
And living different lives,
We all made some mistakes
That we will deal with over time.

Just be thankful that we are all still here
And that we are all still together,
So for now I wanted to say
Love you always and forever!

I love your mom! she sounds like my own. Strong always to the point of breaking herself for her children. This kind of self sacrifice is not as common in todays world. Sounds like no matter what, your family has the bricks of experince held together by the mortar of a mothers unyeilding love.
