She is uncomfortable Thinking they are all staring at her She can barely look up They are twelve and thirteen Most not noticing her at all Too concerned about their own flaws One thinks they are staring at his zit Another is sure they are staring at her frizzy perm Most self conscious age of all Middle school dance Critical beyond belief Misunderstanding the beauty of this age
