Mortality

inside mortal tears
losing all that we hold dear
finding naught but fear

inside mortal souls
full of hate, and full of holes
die from mortal tolls

inside mortal hate
anger never does abate
leaving us to fate

human destiny
that we always cannot see
never sets us free

enslaved by our mind
we can never seem to find
eternal chains bind

we have lost ourselves
our eternal spirit delves
we have lost ourselves

we see only fear
grasping all that we hold dear
slowly, shed a tear

lost within, we scream without.
screaming without, we lose ourselves
