Morning Visit

Morning Visit

Another Monday morning
It’s getting harder to get out of bed
Wish I could shut the alarm clock off
And pull the covers over my head
But then I feel a hand
Crawling up the bed
“Good morning daddy”
Is what the sweet voice said
After hugs and kisses
And a tickle here and there
I’m up on a feet
Without a worry or a care
He’s the best thing about waking up
My little boy in pj’s and a smile
He makes my early morning
So very worth while
Thank you Christian, dear
I don’t know what daddy would do
If I had to face each morning
Without someone as loving as you.
