Morning Soul Food

I thank you, God,
For morning tea
and butter buns,
oven fresh.

They satisfy
my body, Lord,
But I am more
than flesh.

Fill me with
Your Holy Spirit,
and quench my
thirsty Soul,

with nectar from
Your fruit tree, Lord,
My heart's Your
hallow bowl.
