Morning Prayer

And as he dusk
Took out its blushing brush
And powdered the face
Of the sky
The birds are chirpy
And rejoice
As the cold and the darkness die

As the shades of the sky
Grow lighter
And brighter
The hope rises in me
It’s a new day, a new day to be free

Oh, Lord, let me choose wisely
What I do with this day
As You have given me,
Lovingly,
The right to choose my own way
