Morning Prayer
Speak to me in words, Lord,
Words I understand.
Speak to me in thoughts, Lord,
Poured stream of hourglass sand.
I really need your help, Lord,
I really need your care.
Reach out your hand to me, Lord,
Show me that you’re there!
Love me like a son, Lord,
Hold me close to You.
Carry me through deserts, Lord,
These dry lands You take me through.
Wake me in the morning, Lord,
Wake me in the night.
Give me Your peace, Lord,
In this place of jagged fright!
Bless Me with Your Words, Lord,
Bless me with Your faith.
‘Cause without You, Lord,
Without You I cannot stand.
