Morning Prayer
I thank Thee, Oh Father for each day’s delight
And for Thy loving Son who taught how to live right.
Oh, devoted Savior, you brought mankind new sight.
Let our minds be open to Thy truth and light.
Let us show forth love with humble spirits curled.
Let the glory of heaven be in our souls unfurled.
Let us do our part to prepare a peace filled world.
Let Thy righteous songs amid all mankind be twirled.
It is Thy love that makes all of life glow.
It is Thy will that one can prayerfully know.
It is each hope that loves Thy truthful flow.
It heralds Thy way when we opt to follow.
Guide us, Lord; help us walk Thy way.
Send evil temptations far away.
Please steer our leaders day by day.
Let wisdom teach each soul to pray.
Heaven on earth must be a mankind view.
Temperaments humbled with faith imbued.
Thy percepts are correct, Thy example true.
Eternity holds promise at each souls review.
