Morning Light

With the stillness surrounding me,
As it filters thru the window bright
And with my head still on the pillow
My mind wakes to the morning light.

Before I stretch my legs to rise,
From the warmth of my bed I pray.
I fold my hands, I close my eyes,
And thank God for another day.
