Morning Light

Tell me to come home to you,
that you need me tonight,
that without me,
to you comes no morning light.

When I'm here I'll bring you sunshine,
to brighten up your day,
to be here and to listen,
no matter what you have to say.

So, the one you chose to talk to,
let it be me,
here with open ears,
for you to confide in fearlessly.

These words are for you,
I hope you hear them well,
there's no one else but you and me,
as far as I can tell.

So tell me to come close to you,
you want to hold me near and tight,
to lay all night in your arms,
until time brings us morning light.
