More Than Residual

a potent indication
of residual energy
slowly taking possession
of my sanity
         I feel it manipulate
         each experience
         toying with my fate
         confirming its existence
I can only surmise
it's a malicious shadow
which somehow escaped demise
when yesterday had to go
        some spiritual attachment
        of which I'm unaware
I must force it to repent
        so I can spiritually repair

I can relate to this, I lived this and you did an outstanding poetic job, in my opinion, on this, no - you definitely did simply because of how hard hitting it was to me. I hope this isn't your reality, but know that if it is, time and God work, time and God (when HE is ready). All the best and great poem ... CayCay 7

I'm sure we could all use some spiritual or sanity repair from time to time. Nicely expressed Christy.
