More Than a Mother's

THOUGH HAVING NO SIN YOU PAID,
FOR OTHERS YOUR LIFE YOU LAID.
YOU MADE NO COMPLAINT OR PLEA,
GIVING YOUR LIFE TO SET US FREE.

MERCY WAS NOT GIVEN TO YOU,
YET IT IS ABUNDANT IN YOU.
LOVE WAS NOT SHOWN FROM US,
YET THAT IS ALL YOU SHOW US.

BEING KING YOU GAVE YOUR LIFE,
GIVING YOURS TO GIVE ETERNAL LIFE.
BEING TORTURED BY YOUR OWN,
INTO THE LION'S DEN YOU WERE THROWN.

THROUGH BETRAYAL AND TORTURE YOU LOVED,
THEY CUT, SPIT, HIT, MOCKED AND SHOVED.
YOUR LOVE IS UNPARALLEL TO ANY OTHER,
IT SURPASSES THAT OF A LOVING MOTHER.
