More Than a Friend

I know in this life that you would never bend, maybe in another life I called you my best friend. I was blessed to have you All those years, look how the time has passed. If I could wish them back again I'd surely make them last. We played catch in our back yard Then you raced me down the street You always let me win the race Making sure I kept my feet. I'll never let these memories fade They will only grow much stronger. I could never have called you my best friend, But I always called you father.

Ray, This is so beautiful! What a heart you have! My son in law started my grandson in baseball. He is close to his Dad.I am going to send this to my son in law! My daughter, and son in law are going to an A’s game this afternoon. Lucky you ,to have a Dad as described. I wrote a poem, Dear Daddy. He was so Giving. Hugs, Panagiota xx

I was lucky. Raised by "Ozzy and Harriot". Your response has lifted my spirit. Thank you for that. I loved baseball and learned the game from dad. It was a deep connection that passed too quickly. Mom passed in 2019 January. Dad in March 2019. My brother in March 2019. I started writing. I would appreciate if you could read " Mothers Death". I would be honored. Ty. RZ
