More of a Woman
Would I be more of a women
If I held my thoughts,
If I remained silent,
If I cooked instead of talk?
Would I be more of a women
If I ironed your shirt,
If I took all your mess,
If I didn't hesitate to lift my skirt?
Would I be more of a women
If I took things sittting down,
If I let you walk over me,
If I kept my head down?
Would I be more of a women
If I let you yell at me,
If I let you hit me,
If I still praised you on my knees?
Would I be more of a women
If I put up with your attitude
If I let you disrespect me
If I let you treat me rude?
Would I be more of a women
If I had long beautiful hair
If I had a twenty inch waist
If I was okay with you having a spare?
Would I be more of a women
If I remained unaware
If I seen no wrong in you
If I just didn't care?
Would I be more of a women
If I tamed my voice
If I hid my individuality
If I gave up my right of choice?
