More Like You

You come to me on bended knee, Mommy will you tell me a story? Will you hold me tight, Before you go to sleep tonight? Tomorrow can we play, What is a mother to say? Can you see me in you, Can you teach me to love as you do? Can you make me laugh and smile, Mommy I love being your child. Mommy will you still love me when I'm all grown-up, My answer of course is "Yes, my love". Mommy can I grow up and be like you, But my darling, it is I who wishes I were more like you. And when I have faded from this world and all you can do is recall, Just remember it was I who loved you first and most of all! To my darling babies: Xach and Kylee
