More About Yours Truly
More about yours truly. A momentus event.
Did you know that the Kidster sleeps in a tent?
Pitched right in the middle of his living room.
He often sleeps there to escape his gloom.
A single bed furnishes the inside.
That's all I truly need
and just before I then decide
to turn in and go to sleep
I turn on my stereo
at a volume very low
and play my wilderness CD.
The sounds of night time crickets,
the mating calls of frogs,
the distant thunder on the horizon,
my camfire burning my last log,
then I zip up my tent,
both the windows and the entrance.
I may be pitched in my living room,
but inside my tent
I am truly content
as if I'm truly sleeping in the middle of the wilderness.
The sounds of nature outside my tent
drifts me off into relaxed sleep most content.
Only the real thing would be better than this.
