Morals and Values
What are values and what good do they do?
Simply they are standards we know that need to be followed, ones we know to be true.
They are not made to be hurtful, quite opposite in fact,
They are free for all and to be used with diplomacy and tact.
Little things like respect can set you apart,
Kindness towards others is a great place to start.
Never look down your nose at others less fortunate as you,
Sometimes all that is needed is a hand and someone to show them what to do.
Many a great man has slipped and taken a spill,
But it was a bigger man that helped them to their feet and climb over that hill.
We hardly ever see someone’s potential as well as we see their mistakes,
Those that do are the ones that know the value of sharing the cake.
Values and morals they all hold a place,
And help us each day to better our lives and stand up to the problems we face.
They give us a sense of direction as to what is right and what is wrong,
Without certain values we are lost and that is an altogether different song.
