Moonlight Sky

As the stars serenades the moon that has faintly lit the night sky
As I sit here in amazement at God’s creation and never question why
As I look up at the sky and all the beauty so far up above
I am now at peace to feel God's everlasting love
Let me show you stars that shine so bright
How they sparkle and twinkle at the light
It's like I'm in a state of trance
My soul just feels free and wants to dance
If I was a bird spreading my wings to fly
Every day I would purposely soar so high
This is where the boundaries disappear
Beneath the night sky our stories become quite clear
Through the vivid light of the lonely moon
The break of dawn is coming and the sun will arise soon
As the vividness fades from the stars array
The night journeys on into endless day
