Notes About The Poem

Moon Love

O lonely blue moon, shine a bit for me.
Come yellow moon, shine brightly so I'll see
I wander here and there aimlessly.
Search for my dear one to love faithfully.

She would not tolerate my advances.
She will never accept my mischances.
I was so foolish not to treat her well.
How I miss her, only the Lord can tell.

Come, sweet Lord, shine brightly so I'll see,
And take her for a ride along the quay.
We will make up; only the Lord can tell.
I must beg her pardon and feel my heart swell.
