Monsters

I've seen the monsters that live in my head
Gnawing at my feet on the edge of the bed
Growing stronger with every dream
Only no one can hear my screams
Gripping my pillow for some support
It only makes them more angry and snort
With all the crazy dreams that I have had
They have never ended with the beast this mad
Sleepless nights are not an option
The monsters don't get that concoction
Try to tame the savage beast
Or dream somewhere else at least
