Releasing another one of my Halloween poems, two Haikus coupled together into one poem.

-----------

Autumn's, veil, misty, Intrigue prowls-horror’s echo, Halloween's chill creeps. Masked-truth’s cleaver guise, Secrets whisper ‘mongst shadows, Fear stalks-night’s cruel jest.

Hello Daniel, There is always something to see in the shadows. They are never the same thyme. There are shadows in daylight . Sometimes with rainbows. I have not seen a shadow that is scary. blessings my friend. /Darlene/

Hello Daniel, You are welcome. I am not afraid of shadows at all. Yes shadows that are protrayed in their minds. yes shadows can be fun. I see shadows in the night. When the spot lights is on. then there is a shadow on the wall. or when a car light shines on the wall there is a shadow. seen. I write about shadows in poetry. Blessings my friend. /Darlene/

Dear Darlene, thank you for your wonderful comments. Being a counselor I find that people are not fearful of the real shadows that carpet the ground or walls they are normally fearful of the shadows portrayed in their minds. I do agree with your shadows can be fun and exciting and certainly something to play with in Poetry. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

A superb Haiku that catches autumn's goulish swagger in costumed folks who prowl through frost + shadows. A Halloween winner. Excellent writing! Brian

Beautiful haiku. My favorite to write. So much said in only 17 syllables!
