I cry when I think about my mom I was bad at being a son I thought she had so many that she loved more than me. The son that always seamed too busy to even visit her

so sad, so stirring, so sad... much like the burning of a heart who feels the music beyond breathless, simply amazing. Love this sir. God bless you always, love, Gina

Hindsight is twenty/twenty, they say. Sounds like you may be a little too tough on yourself, my friend.

I'm sure you are correct. But sometimes I see or hear something that reminds me of her, and I tend to get a little melancholy.

A powerful/wonderful yet sad write. Moms forgive because that is what they do. I would give your write to her. Have a great day writing away........................

Thank you, my friend. Perhaps old age is what makes me appreciate my childhood more.

Many times, life does have a tendency to get in the way. It is even worse when youth can make one think they have all the time in the world left to them.

Sometimes we learn those lessons too late. Perhaps the jealousy of being #14 out of 15 children plays a role.

I, too, cry when I think of my mom. I was her only daughter but wasn't always there for her during her waning years...lived 1,000 miles away and busy. That shouldn't have been an excuse...regrets are hard.

So true, Sara. I always swore I was going to record my dad and mom's stories but procrastinated until it was too late.
