Moments In Time

Moments in time so precious so dear
They shape us and make us through times of laughter and cheer
You held my hand, you shielded my heart, you made me feel safe even when miles apart
We walked for miles, but we'd have walked more
To escape the grief, to escape turmoil 
Forever connected, you're mine, I'm yours

We waded waters we rebuilt walls
A bond so strong, like the tree that stands proud and tall
Moments of laughter, moments of tears
We held each other tighter through times of fear
Eventually the day will come when we must part 
But these moments in time, I carry in heart

Just remember that the pain is temporary, the sadness won't last
We'll meet again, and so reminisce our past
