Momentarily

Lazily I lay in the field atop a hill
Spread like I am making a snow angel
Watching the sun yield to the clouds
Feeling the wind taking opposition to the heat
My loyal companion resting at my feet
If time could be frozen
Then this moment might be chosen
In a way I am glad time doesn’t stand still
For a better moment may arise
Even though I don’t think it will
There can be no joy in compromise

Well said, Lacey. I wouldn't want to "compromise" and destroy the magic of the moment you describe. Take a mental picture and you'll always remember this moment. Love, Carolyn
