Moment of Grace

I'll balance your sorrow when you are low
I'll ease your fear when you have no more
I'll listen all night so you get it right
I'll calm you with my palm to your back
a slow circle
to help you breathe
watch my eyes love
joy will come in time
in time
the hard times pass but they leave us scarred
old
weary undone
without a moment of grace
