MOM You brought me up to be anybody I want to be You taught me how to be loyal and free You're my warmest thought that is never far away You were always there when life seemed so unfair You taught me to be humble when bow our heads to pray You’re the light as it greets a new day Praise God for making you in such a loving way I can always hear you say I love you in the most powerful ways You have always been that shoulder To cry on in my darkest hours Showering my spirit empowering my mind Teaching me how fine a man should walk this line You're not someone I ever had to question or ask why You always show your loving care A mom like you is quite rare You're one of a kind that God Could not find or unwind what he has in you My mom with so much flair Who always had enough time to spare You're that flower as it burst into the air You have a way of setting things right Even when my wings felt broken you kept me in flight Though I sometimes put up a fight You were always there never in despair Come to think of it you were never square You will always be my wonderful mom The one who shows she cares May God bless you in the most special way Happy Mothers Day
