Mom

There when you shouldn’t be.
There when no one could be.

There when I said go away.
There when I said don’t talk to me.

There when I was sad and alone.
There even though I didn’t say anything.

There although I never share my feelings.
There although you feel you have failed.

There when I hurt you so bad.
There when you knew you couldn’t bear it.

There when I disobeyed you.
There to understand, not punish.

There as I grow older.
There, just there, to be.

There as my friend,
There as my mom.
