Mom

i remember
sitting with you
outside on the swing
at our old house
listening to the rhythm of the rain
i was only little
but i remember it so clearly
we talked about grown up things
that i shouldnt know about yet
but it was okay
you pull me tighter
and i begin to cry
not sad, but happy
because now you believe me
now you know
that was the first memory
i have of being truely happy.
thank you so much mom
for everything you did for me
you saved me
so many times
i probably wouldnt be here now
and be the person i am today
without you.
without everything i learned from you
everything you showed me
everything you told me
i love you
