Mom

You were never there for me
you were always out
you never listened to me
when I wanted to talk to you

why can't you love me
why can't you be there for me

when I needed something
you were too busy
you had no time for me

I wanted to be treated differently
not the same as my brothers

why weren't you there when
I was growing up

you hate me why
you never talk to me why

you never come to my birthday parties
because you hate me

you lie to me about who my dad is

why do you run from everything
you never stay in one place

why can't you just stay home and stop running
dad doesn't understand why you run

all I can say is why do you do this
is it because of me

you have your boyfriend push me down stairs
guys come in and out of the house

you promise me things and you break them
you give me something and you take it back

you're never there
you never will be

why mom
why
