Mom

i give you my tears
talking to you when possible
you're the one always there
the definition of love
holding me in your arms
through thick and thin
taught me to hang in there
and that winners never quit
believing in God
you've become so strong
a living example
of whats right and whats wrong
more to me
than you'd ever know
gotten me through
the sticks and stones
filled with care
everlasting love
awake as an owl
peaceful like a dove
bestowing you love
sparing so much
sorry for ones
who long for that touch
out of your way
beyond our reach
so much to learn
so much you teach
never giving up
yet always letting go
wants to say yes
butt able to say no
working hard
for the roof over our heads
food on the table
sheets on our beds
enormous milestones
in my life
with me through all
shining your light
all the mountains
you've accomplished to move
its time i say
thank you
