Modern Day Cowboy

Modern Day Cowboy

Have you ever been to the Rodeo
And watch the cowboys ride?
There is nothing more exciting
Then to see their look of pride.

They look at how they score
What do the judges say?
And see It was judged by far
The very best ride of the day.

Bruised and all busted up
From all the pounding they take
They are mostly concerned
About getting another stake.

The smell of wet hay and leather
And the Cinch tight and ready to go
Lends excitement to the cowboy’s ride
Hoping he puts on a good show

They always wear their cowboy hats
Western boots and faded blue jeans
And They always have a lady
Or that’s the way it seems.

But a cowboy’s life is not all glamorous
If you ask him he might just say
When our cowboy days are done
is when we just ride away.

I can see you really like the cowboys. It's kind of cool to see a rodeo. This is a cute poem.
