Mixed Signals

You say to break the attachment
As if it's just a switch
Like I could be in love with you one day
And the next, those feelings ditch

When I cry, I know it hurts you
To see that I'm in pain
But you wont admit, you even push me further
Your inconsistency drives me insane

When I'm with you, you've the softest touch
You hold my hand & want to cuddle
You open doors; you'll be a gentleman
Even carry me over puddles

You'll call me sweet & gorgeous
That I'm beautiful, that I'm your girl
Sing me love songs & propose to me
You'll be the cutest guy in the world

But when we seem to just get closer
You'll push, even shove away
You'll swear that you don't need me
You don't care if I go or stay

I want to scream, just tell me what you want
YOU be the one to put yourself out there
You're so afraid of showing emotion
Maybe you're just afraid to care
