Mixed Feelings

I’ve always heard of the way
Great Grandfather was moved by force
Because his tribe wasn’t white of course
While other of my kin took the leads
Staking claims for their families needs
He always cursed the day

It's shameful the way Native Americans were forced from their land. I don't blame your great grandfather for being angry. You brought the pride of his tribe to life in your poem. Best wishes, Carolyn
