Misunderstanding

M eaning one thing and saying another, those
I nsulting words that were never spoken
S urrendering to your own paranoia, not the truth
U ntrusting your soul, looking for what was
N ever intended so can never be found, yet
D iscovering it nonetheless, so you
E mpathise with yourself until you
R ealise that the mind can play games
S crabble with words
T urning them into your doubts:
A cknowledging the truth
D iscovering the mistake, your own
I rrational thoughts
N eeding to turn back time and start again
G iven another chance
