Listen to poem:
Sometimes it gets too steamy Reality insists On distorting our perception As this heartbeat still persists Sometimes it gets too frosty When the winter comes to call We scrape to see the road ahead A strange fear that we'll fall Sometimes though, there's a new mist Corrupting twenty twenty A sadness from a place within An absence and an empty Yet crystal clear is memory Hopeful brightness never lost As misty doesn't linger Whether tears, or steam or frost

“ Yet crystal clear is memory Hopeful brightness never lost” so true and profound how you’ve delivered such deeply moving and heartfelt thoughts in such a poetic manner! Your wisdom and ability to ponder deep and make sense of reality can be depicted and is very well articualted and that last line just hits home! “ As misty doesn't linger Whether tears, or steam or frost“ how true! Some excellent rhymes and flow of thoughts! And well read too! Love the pic used too, melancholic, fave

Bless you Ink for your insightful comments as always :) I hope there was a feint glimmer of optimism amidst the melancholy but we poets feel things deeply. A blessing and simultaneously a curse. I love that you are such a universal and considerate encourager of many, alongside some glorious inspired poetry of your own :))
