Misty, My Sweet Kitten
Misty
my sweet kitten

She was the cutest kitten -
Misty was her name;
She was a fluffy grey Persian cross,
With mischief in her veins.
I loved and cherished her;
She was a blessed joy;
It was completely devastating,
On the back door step to find her.
Confused and heartbroken;
No more blue eyes to yearn for games;
It seemed completely crazy,
And I cried for days and days.
With time the grief grew numb,
As the scars healed in my heart;
But the memories linger on,
Of your short lived sweetheart life.
I wish I could have saved you;
I wish love was enough;
I have to believe that you're in heaven,
With all the other creatures loved.
